Music week open afternoon

Congratulations to all of the children for creating some AMAZING work during music week. Everyone has really enjoyed studying the '10 Pieces' of classical music - and the parents were so impressed with what was produced!

Hedgehog Boxes

The wildlife council have been very busy this year. Our focus has turned from the birds over the winter to the hedgehogs this spring. Today we installed three feeding stations for them. We'd be grateful of donations of dog and cat food to keep them nicely topped up!

Swallows class & Music week

We have had a great time in the Swallows class this afternoon, creating our own 'hosepipe' horns and print stamps, inspired by Mozart's Horn Concerto number 4.

All of the children produced a horn and we had a go at playing the concerto ourselves. We plan to do printing and more music-making tomorrow!

Japanese crafts

Hares class had a fantastic visit from Mrs Rooks this afternoon.  We listened to her experience of visiting Japan and ate suhi. We also made kimonos and did some ikebana (Japanese flower arranging).
