On Monday we had PE with our new PE teacher Mr Everett. We learning how to play basketball and we played some games to practise our dribbling with the ball.
In maths we were learning about equivalent fractions and how to find them. We wrote as many equivalent fractions as we could on balloons. We also worked on 'Farming Fractions' – ensuring two brothers got an equal share of their farm.
In English we were planning persuasive propaganda posters with a short message to encourage people to take in evacuees from London during World War II. We designed posters and wrote Ministry of Information captions for pictures of evacuees.
In DT we investigated shelters. We made Anderson shelters from nets and had a go at building shelters from sheets. Some teams were more successful than others…
On Wednesday morning there was a football tournament at RAF Benson for year 3/4 and 5/6. The 3/4 won all of their games whereas 5/6 lost to Ewelme. Both teams got a good result though!
